WRITE AND POST YOUR VOWS FOR PINING FOR YOU

The Pining For You: A Celebration of Queer Love event at the Old Stone House in Park Slope Brooklyn on Saturday, June 16th at 5:00pm will be hosting an open mic vow reading, written by and for queer community members expressing kinship, love, and solidarity.  Contribute your vows in the comments section below!

We invite you to attend the Pining For You: A Celebration of Queer Love event and read your vows to the crowd.  If you’re unable to make it out that day or if you are unequivocably shy, your vows will be read by another community member.

Vows can be written to include anyone in your queer community: your partner, your best friend, your neighbor, your mom, your brother, your local barkeep, your group of friends, the queer community at large, etc. etc.

In conjunction with the exhibition BROOKLYN UTOPIAS: PARK SPACE PLAY SPACE, Pining For You: A Celebration of Queer Love is an event that explores queer park space, gay utopias, community love and Dutch culture.  The four part event will include an open mic vow reading, written by and for queer community members expressing kinship, love, and solidarity, a queer love wedding ceremony where community members in attendance will be wedded to one another, a pine tree planting ritual symbolizing everlasting friendship, and a Dutch-inspired wedding cake to eat and share.
